Ingredients:
- 2 lbs baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Chinese five-spice powder to create the marinade
Place the baby back ribs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them
Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight
Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil
Roast the ribs in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, basting with the marinade every 15 minutes, until the ribs are cooked through and caramelized
Optional: Finish the ribs on the grill for a smoky flavor
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, brushing with additional marinade
Garnish the Chinese Roasted Ribs with chopped green onions before serving
Serve hot and enjoy
